Kalmia Cottage is close to the Mahlon Sweet Airport, which is a mere 5 miles away.  There is only one lodging facility closer: in West Eugene.

Eugene is 10 miles to the south and the University of Oregon and Autzen Stadium is 13 miles away. 

Corvallis is 23 miles to the north and Oregon State University and Reiser Stadium is 25 miles away.  

Junction City High School is a few blocks down Sixth Avenue.

Junction City is host to the annual Scandinavian Festival in August.  It is a four day event which pays homage to the cultures of Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Iceland.  The Cottage is located only three blocks away from the Festival on the same street.

Every June, Junction City holds the Function4Junction Cruise-in and show'n shine.  The car show and staging is just 4 blocks west.  The classic and antique cars line up on Sixth in front of the house and cruise all evening on Highway 99 just 2 blocks away.
